Our Impact

Al-Khair Foundation offers UK based employability skills training, domestic violence support and healthcare support. We believe in the importance of helping those in need at home as well as abroad. We work with society’s most vulnerable to provide support, awareness and – above all – the opportunity to live a full and independent life.
AKF is no longer on the ground in Syria. But when we were, we provided emergency relief to survivors and communities displaced by the conflict. Today we support Syrian refugees in Turkey. Our aid work involves:

Following the landslides and floods in Afghanistan in 2014, Al-Khair Foundation was on the ground within a week providing essential aid including Emergency Relief and Food packs. We are currently providing:
Al-Khair Foundation works with the persecuted and destitute Rohingya peoples of Myanmar. We have run seasonal and ongoing programmes which included Food and Healthcare (mosquito net distribution). During the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, Al-Khair Foundation was the only UK-based Muslim aid agency on the ground in Japan. We provided survivors with emergency relief in the form of water, shelter and medical assistance.
Al-Khair Foundation provided support to displaced Palestinians in Lebanon’s refugee camps. We provided Emergency Relief, Food packs and Hygiene and Sanitation.
Al-Khair Foundation has worked with underprivileged communities in Sierra Leone though aid and long-term development programmes. We provided Water, Community support, Healthcare and Seasonal & Religious support.

Al-Khair Foundation was on the ground in the Philippines following the 2013 typhoon. We provided emergency relief to survivors in the form of shelter, food and health/hygiene.
Al-Khair Foundation responded to the Haiti earthquake in 2010 that affected an estimated three million people. Death toll estimates ranged from 100,000 to 160,000. In coordination with local partners, AKF provided Emergency Relief and Food packs.
The Chile earthquake of 2010 caused widespread damage on land and initiated a tsunami that devastated coastal areas of the country. Together, the earthquake and tsunami were responsible for more than 500 deaths. Al-Khair Foundation responded to this crisis by providing: Emergency Relief and Food packs.
