Two years - a humanitarian catastrophe of unprecedented proportions unfolded in the Gaza Strip. What began on October 7, 2023, has spiralled into a relentless cycle of violence and suffering that turned into a genocide. To mark this grim anniversary, Al-Khair Foundation invites its donors, viewers, partners and people-at-large to witness the reality of life and loss in Gaza.

The stories here speak of a systematic dismantling of a society. According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, as of late September 2025, over 66,000 lives have been lost, with more than 167,000 injured. These are not just numbers; they are stories cut short, futures erased. The United Nations and other humanitarian organizations have documented the widespread devastation, with millions displaced, many multiple times over, seeking refuge in a land where no place is safe.

The entire population of Gaza, approximately 2.2 million people, is facing crisis levels of acute food insecurity. Malnutrition has reached alarming levels, with nearly one in three young children in Gaza City suffering. The healthcare system has all but collapsed, and access to clean water is a daily struggle for majority of the population.

In the face of this immense suffering, Al-Khair Foundation has been a steadfast presence on the ground, delivering when it is needed the most. Since October 2023, the foundation has delivered over $90 million in aid, a testament to the unwavering generosity of its supporters and the bravery of its teams. Working in extremely challenging environments, Al-Khair Foundation has distributed over one million hot meals, provided clean water through its desalination plant, and delivered essential medical supplies and emergency shelter.

The path for humanitarian aid has been filled with rubbles. To honour the lives lost, to give voice to the stories of devastation, resilience, and unwavering faith, the Al-Khair Foundation is hosting "Gaza Genocide: 2 Years of Humanitarian Collapse." This commemorative event will be telecast live on Iqra Bangla and Iqra Urdu Channels on 7th October 2025. Viewers can hear first-hand experiences from frontline responders and learn from scholars about how they see the situation ahead. It is an invitation to the global community to confront the truth and renew its commitment to the survival of Gaza.
