This is daily life for millions, a humanitarian catastrophe of unprecedented scale.

Over 2.2 million people are facing acute food insecurity. A famine declared in August 2025 threatens to take even more lives, with severe malnutrition heavily affecting children and the elderly. The healthcare system has collapsed, with most hospitals damaged or destroyed, leaving the sick and injured with nowhere to go.

Entire neighbourhoods lie in ruins. Nearly 1.9 million people have been displaced, many forced to move repeatedly in search of safety. Families live in overcrowded shelters or makeshift tents, exposed to the elements, disease, and a lack of clean water, hygiene, and dignity.

Despite the destruction and the dangers, Al-Khair Foundation continues to deliver hope. With over a decade of presence in the region, our teams are on the ground, risking their lives to provide lifeline support. More than 1,100 aid trucks have delivered essential supplies. Our food kitchens serve hot meals to thousands. We continue to care for 6,500 orphans, offering safety and compassion amid chaos.

The cost of inaction is measured in lives. Resources are stretched to their limits, and the needs are overwhelming. The international community warns of a complete humanitarian collapse — and we are witnessing it in real time.
